Franny Hogan
First Place Winner ; Riverblender’s Sing for Scholarship Compeition 2012, $1,000 cash prize

My name is Franny Hogan. I am seventeen years old. I have been taking lessons with Ron Jones for about ten years. I have competed in Mid America Music Association six times since in the studio. I won superior rating there in Musical Theatre, Jazz, and Classical. And just this year I won Most Outstanding Young Performer. I also have won second place at NATS competition for the past three years. I also won a scholarship from the River Blenders Chorus competition. I have also been very active in musicals with a few different companies. I have been in Fiddler on the Roof, Babes in Toyland, Big! The Musical, Little Women, School House Rock, Live, and Scrooge. I was also featured as Annie in the musical Annie this past year for my high school. I participate in show choir and jazz choir in school. Throughout the years Ron has always helped me. He is more like a father to me then a voice teacher. I couldn’t have been as successful without him!

 A Testimonial

My daughter, Aurielle, has always had a passion for music. She loved singing, dancing, and performing on stage. As her desire to perform grew, so did her wish to improve her craft. We were referred to Ron Jones at the St. Peters Performing Arts Studio for voice lessons. Aurielle was just starting her sophomore year in high school, and we felt that would be the perfect time for her to begin private lessons. Once under Ron’s care and direction, Aurielle’s skills rapidly improved. We could see marked improvement in everything: breath support, overall tone, vocal range, confidence, and stage presence. While a student at the studio, Aurielle performed with her high school mixed chamber choir and continued to enjoy musical theater.

This year Aurielle has realized the extent of her passion for music and recently changed her college major to Music. She just auditioned and was placed in the flagship choir at her university and will be touring the southeast United States with them in May. Ron encouraged her to follow her passion, and she is now beginning to find her place. A large part of Aurielle’s success is due to her studies at St. Peters Performing Arts Studio. She was under the direction of Ron Jones for almost three years. During that time, Ron not only developed her vocal talents, he served as her coach, mentor, cheerleader, and friend. We are so thankful to have had Ron there sharing in all of Aurielle’s musical accomplishments.
